Superfoods - Linseed

Linseed are tiny flax seeds. The plant – flax, has been known for thousands of years. It had formerly served as the main raw material for the production of clothe👕s but is has since gained recognition for its health properties💝 Today it is regarded as Superfood group with the likes of kale, garlic or goji seeds👍

Linseed or flax seeds are highly appreciated for their nutritional value and good ratio⚖️ of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids 💝 which helps to maintain the correct level of hormones. This in turn, helps to regulate metabolism thus, helps us maintain normal body mass💪😁

The fiber contained in flax seeds supports the work of the digestive system, however🙃 in order to achieve the desired effect, it is important to drink a lot of water🥛 when consuming linseed.

Linseed also contains vitamin E, which is a strong antioxidant and vitamins from group B. Additionally, flax is rich in calcium, magnesium, zinc and iron, as well as lecithin, which helps to increase concentration and improve memory🤓🧠

However, it is the Lignans that make flax seeds really powerful, as they are one of the strongest antioxidants. These compounds are responsible for the fight against free radicals, and are not only helpful in cancer😲 prevention but also help to regulate the hormonal balance. These seeds should be especially appreciated during the periods, when hormonal disorders are greater, e.g. during menopause 👭

In addition to many health properties, flax is very potent when it comes to our beauty🤩 It is responsible for keeping our hair, eye lashes and nails in good condition 💅💇‍♀ It also keeps our skin hydrated 💦 and resilient❗️

So in fact, flaxseed nourishes us from the inside out❗️

There are many ways in which you can include flaxseed in your diet. You can sprinkle it on bread🍞, as we do it, or sprinkle it over a salad🥗 porridge or yogurt 🥣 You can also take it as a drink🥤

Personally, I do not like it in the form of a drink and prefer to add it to our bread or salad🙃😍

What about you❓ How do you like it❓
